FISH stands for Fun In the School Holidays and is an activity playscheme for all 10 to 16 year olds who live in the Guildford Borough.  Come and do something enjoyable during the holidays - try out loads of different activities, learn new skills and make new friends!

FISH 2010 - celebrating 10 years of Fun In the School Holidays!
Following our consultation with parents and to celebrate our 10th birthday, 2010 will welcome an even bigger and better FISH scheme.  There have been changes made to the booking system and the opportunities FISH provides, to help improve the way the scheme is delivered.

Easter - Monday 12 to Friday 16 April 2010 (fully booked)
Summer - Monday 2 to Friday 20 August 2010

Standard Day - 10am to 4pm
Extended Day - 8.30am to 5.30pm

The concessionary rate applies to Guildford Borough residents in receipt of Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit or Disability Living Allowance.

Activities
FISH gives young people the chance to try a wide variety of sports, arts and play activities.

On-site activities no longer need to be booked.  Young people will have free choice of activities such as: multi-sports, football, music workshops, drama, cookery, circus workshops, trampolining, animation, dance, drumming and much more.

Visiting entertainment such as climbing walls, inflatables and bushcraft activities will also be available on-site.

Additional activities are all day coaching camps and off-site activities which must be booked in advance.  Take a look at our Additional Activity Timetable for Easter 2010.

Further Information
FISH puts an emphasis on having fun during the holidays and helps to promote play amongst young people in the area.  Those attending FISH are also given the opportunity to make new friends, try new things and learn skills if they want to.

FISH is open to everyone who lives in the Guildford borough.  Priority is given to those living in the areas of Stoke, Westborough and Ash.

The scheme is affordable, with special rates for families in receipt of certain Government benefits.

Experienced Key Workers are available for young people with special needs or disabilities who need additional support during the scheme.
