The aim is to increase participation in sport and physical activity in these target groups as well as the remainder of the community. Sport and physical activity is increasingly becoming a broader package, so its not just about attending your local gym or playing football. There are many possibilities available for recreation, exercise, sport and active living such as cycling, climbing, skateboarding, dance, martial arts, bowls and the most accessible of them all, walking.
We communicate through partnerships with local and national agencies such as:

We assist in developing sports clubs, coaches and volunteers through Quality Club accreditation, coaching qualifications and Running Sport workshops.
We are lucky to have such an array of high quality facilities, including the Guildford Spectrum (this page opens in a new window), the University of Surrey and a host of passionate individuals who have developed their own sporting facilities.
There are many coaches, officials, administrators and support staff who give their time voluntarily week after week, without whom the sporting scene in Guildford borough would not be so vibrant.
