Arundel Inclusive Sports Achievement

Winner - Vicki Hansford
She came back from the Beijing Paralympic Games with a Bronze Medal – and was hugely disappointed.  Perhaps for the rest of us, being 3rd in the world would have been good enough and we could forgive ourselves for being a little self-satisfied, but Vicki was part of the World Championship boat in 2006 and had gone to Beijing to collect Gold.  In true Vicki style, she has gone on to compete in the Rowing World Championships of 2009 in Poland.  With 2 new men, with a new coach and cox, she again went on to win Gold in a new world’s best time, defeating the Italian crew who won the Gold in Beijing.
