Guildford Lido will be opening for the 2010 season on Saturday 1 May 2010.

Guildford Lido is set in three acres of landscaped gardens and retains much of it’s 1930's charm.  The 50 metre heated outdoor swimming pool offers swimming for all ages and abilities from the serious lane swimmer to toddlers in armbands who can splash and play in the shallow paddling pools. 

The rolling lawns are the ideal location for lazy summer picnics or a great place to relax and unwind in the warm summer sun whilst dipping your toes in to keep cool.  Light refreshments are available from the Cafe, behind which you will find our 9 hole crazy golf course.

Opening times
The swimming pool is open from 1 May until Sunday 19 September 2010, with a varied programme of sessions to suit all our customers.  The 2010 programme is to be confirmed.

During the summer season Guildford Lido is available for Private Hire/Functions.  The venue has been used to host a variety of events from outdoor concerts to informal parties and BBQs.  For enquiries, please contact the Lido using the details at the bottom of this page.

Customer information
Customers will be routinely offered a swim in half the pool.  Use of the whole pool will be at the discretion of the Duty Manager and subject to demand and favourable weather conditions.

Free swimming programme
Guildford Lido is participating in the Government’s free swimming programme for those aged 60 and over.  The session times are Monday – Sunday, 10.30am - 6.30pm.  Swimmers will need to register for an Active Card.  Please ask for an application form at The Lido or borough residents can apply by completing an Active Card Application Form (this page opens in a new window).

Adult-only lane swim is available Tuesdays and Thursdays 7.00pm - 9.00pm.  The pool is also available for clubs and private hire.  Please contact the Lido using the details at the bottom of this page for more information.

School and junior groups
School parties (per person), the concession rate applies to admission for groups from registered charities, schools and non-profit organisations.  These only apply if the booking is made in advance.

Workshop Gym
At the Workshop Gym (this page opens in a new window) there are 22 dedicated workstations in the gym with dumb-bells up to 70kgs and a comprehensive array of free weights.  The gym is fully air conditioned and qualified staff are always on hand to give advice and encouragement while you train.
