Licensing policy statement


The Licensing Policy Statement [PDF] (817k) aims to provide guidance for applicants, residents, businesses and other interested persons on the general approach the Council will take towards licensing. Members and Officers of the Council will have regard to this policy when making decisions on licensing applications and in the enforcement of licensing law.

The Licensing Act 2003 requires that the Council publish a ‘Statement of Licensing Policy’ that sets out the policies the Council will apply in the exercise of its licensing functions under the Act.
