Local sports clubs looking for new members can sign up to appear in the latest online edition of Guildford Borough Council's Sports Directory. The council is keen to promote opportunities to access sports to all its residents and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Chris Bunting, Head of Cultural Services comments: "With the London 2012 Olympics only a few years away, interest in all kinds of sport is growing in the borough. Our online directory is an easy way for people to find out what's available in their area, try a new sport or pick up something they used to play at school."

The online directory currently lists 90 sports clubs and organisations, from rock climbing to kayaking and tennis to croquet. The Sports and Physical Activity Officer is also keen to highlight special events through the leisure pages on our website.
