Help celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight from 25 February to 7 March by sampling delicious drinks, mouth-watering snacks and other products when Guildford Borough Council will be supporting a number of events and activities around the borough.
Says Lead Councillor for Procurement and Projects, Cllr Nigel Manning: “We are keen to encourage people to buy products carrying the Fairtrade mark so that farmers in developing countries can receive a fair deal for the crops they grow plus additional income to invest for the future.
“Many people still only think of tea and coffee when they think of Fairtrade but there is actually a huge range of products - from peppercorns, cinnamon and avocados to blueberry muffins, wine and rum - so there really is something for everyone." adds Cllr Manning.
