Free information and advice will be on offer at a special event on Tuesday 31 March to help local businesses prepare and protect themselves during challenging economic times. The Beat the Credit Crunch seminar, organised by Guildford Borough Council in partnership with Guildford Business Forum and the Surrey Chambers of Commerce, will include sessions on everything from reducing overheads to Council initiatives to help businesses.
Cllr Jenny Wicks, who will chair the seminar says: "As a council we want to help local businesses survive the effects of the credit crunch. This free seminar is an ideal way to find out how you can put your business in the best possible position to deal with the current economic climate. We also want to make businesses aware of the help that is available if they face difficulties and we thank the many business experts for joining the council's staff in providing advice at this seminar."
Presentations and key advice from local business experts will also cover finance, business improvement and business restructuring. Free guidance will be available on a number of subjects at one to one sessions including:
- Human Resources
- property
- banking
- reducing overheads
- business restructuring
- training and monitoring.
The Beat the Credit Crunch seminar will take place at the Guildhall on 31 March from 9am to 2pm. Presentations will run from 9.15am to 11.10am with free one-to-one advice sessions from 11.15am to 2pm.
