10am - 4pm, 21 & 22 October 2006
Residents and visitors interested in saving energy, money and living a greener lifestyle (and getting a free, low-energy light bulb!) have one more chance to visit Guildford's unique and innovative Ecohouse this weekend to find out about simple home and garden initiatives for more sustainable living.
Visitors to the Ecohouse have included Guildford Borough Council Leader, Cllr Andrew Hodges, and Anne Milton MP for Guildford.
MP for Guildford, Cllr Anne Milton, says:
"I think Guildford's Ecohouse is a fantastic idea; really effective in showing local people exactly how they too can be environmentally friendly and save money at the same time in their own homes".
Adds Cllr Hodges:
"We are keen to demonstrate the improvements that can be made to existing homes to make them more energy efficient. The Ecohouse is just one of the ways in which we are playing our part in the drive to combat climate change".
The house will be open to welcome visitors from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 October. There is a free low energy light bulb for every visitor.
