An election is to be held for a parish councillor for Normandy on Thursday 9 October, 2008.

Nomination papers can be obtained during office hours from the Returning Officer, Richard Lingard at Guildford Borough Council.  Completed nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at our Millmead offices by 12noon on Friday 12 September.

If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 9 October between 7am and 10pm.

The deadline for new applications to vote by post or to change existing postal or proxy arrangements is 5pm on Wednesday 24 September.  New applications to vote by proxy must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 1 October.  The deadline for new applications to vote by proxy on grounds of a medical emergency is 5pm on Thursday 9 October.
