Residents and visitors will be able to explore the architectural and cultural heritage of Guildford borough free of charge during a weekend of events across the borough.
This year Heritage Open Days will take place on 11 - 13 September 2009.
Heritage Open Days are promoted nationally by English Heritage, and locally by the council, Guildford Tour Guides and the Guildford Society. Last year in Guildford there were over 12,500 visits and we had the second highest number of things to see and do within the country.
We are delighted to announce that Meldrum Salter Edgley will once again be sponsoring our event. Meldrum Salter Edgley are Guildford's oldest firm of Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents and this year will be celebrating their 120th birthday.
You can visit the National Heritage Open Days website (this page opens in a new window).
Our brochure for this year's event will be available to download from middle to late August. Alternatively you will be able to collect a copy from our Tourist Information Centre .
