The Core Strategy sets out a vision and spatial strategy for Guildford Borough up to 2026, detailing how the borough will change. The policies in the Core Strategy guide the location and type of new housing, offices, shops, transport and leisure facilities needed to achieve that vision.

Next stage
We are now considering the responses to the further options consultation and will make any appropriate changes before the document is published prior to submission to the Secretary of State for examination.
Once the outcome of our challenge of the South East Plan is known, we will be able to progress to further consultation on the Core Strategy informed by your response to our consultation this year, completion of evidence base projects and the outcome of the challenge.
