Saving Local Plan policies and resulting changes to the Local Plan

Guildford Borough Council received a Direction from the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government on 24 September 2007. This outlines which Guildford Borough Local Plan 2003 policies would remain in effect beyond 27 September 2007 and those which would expire after this date. This Direction can be viewed below.

Guidance on which policies have expired as a result of the Direction, and information on the implications of the loss of these policies can be viewed below. Please note, as a result, there are changes to the Local Plan Proposals Maps.

Guildford Borough Council’s original request statement to the Secretary of State, which was submitted in February 2007 and was a requirement of the GDF process, can be viewed below.
