The Residential Design Guide has been developed to promote high standards of housing design within the borough of Guildford. The key aims of this guide are to encourage:

• Locally distinctive design
• Respect and enhance local character
• Contemporary and sustainable approaches to development
• Best practice in layout and built form

There are four ways to obtain a copy of this document:

1. Download it in sections.
2. The whole file is 8MB and too big to place on the website. If you require an electronic copy on CD, please email planningpolicy@guildford.gov.uk
3. Write to the Planning Reception, Guildford Borough Council, Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford, Surrey GU2 4BB. Include a cheque for £5.00 made payable to Guildford Borough Council, stating clearly that you require the Residential Design Guide and your name and address.
4. Collect a copy for £5.00 from the Planning Reception on the 2nd floor of Millmead House, Guildford.
