The BBC Restoration Village finalist, Watts Gallery houses the studio collection of the eminent Victorian painter and sculptor G F Watts OM RA (1817-1904). Watts has been described as 'England's Michelangelo' and his collection includes portraits of great Victorians, landscapes, drawings, rare models of Watt's sculptures Physical Energy and Lord Tennyson and paintings depicting the great themes of life. Watts Gallery also displays a collection of works by Mary Watts.  It is the only purpose built art gallery in Britain to show a single, professional artist's collection.  From 1 September 2008, restoration begins on the Main Gallery but there will be a wide range of activities on the estate.
