Guildford Museum is a beautiful 17th century building adjacent to the castle grounds. The archaeology galleries show the development of life in Surrey from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. The local history gallery displays the crafts and industries of Guildford and there is a fine collection of needlework. Special exhibitions and events run throughout the year and there is an art corner for children.
