Guildford’s traditional High Street helps to maintain the unique atmosphere of the town. Guildford is a relaxed but busy atmosphere in a delightful setting offering some of the best shopping in the South East.

An excellent range of shops can be found behind the traditional frontages of historic buildings and the cobbled High Street is criss-crossed by lanes and alleyways with a great selection of designer stores, cafes and restaurants. A large indoor shopping centre 'The Friary' can be found on North Street and other smaller shopping centres off the main streets.

On Fridays and Saturdays a traditional street market operates in the town’s North Street and on the first Tuesday of every month (except January) a Farmer’s Market is held in the High Street.
