Labour Students is the student wing of the Labour Party and is open to all students in further and higher education in the UK. Labour Students shares the core values of the Labour Party but it is an independent organisation.
The organisation supports a network of clubs and societies at universities and colleges around the UK. It helps establish Labour clubs, holds national and regional events, coordinates national campaigns and engages its members in campaigning for Labour across the country.
Nationally, Labour Students is one the biggest political student organisations in the country with members at universities and colleges around the UK. Its work and organisation is coordinated by three full-time elected staff and 21 part-time national committee members.
Every year delegates from every Labour Club gather for the Labour Students Annual Conference. At this large residential event a new national committee is elected, policy is debated and campaigning priorities for the year ahead are laid out. The Conference is just one of many national and regional events members can be involved in.
