Although born and brought up in the North of England, I have lived with my wife and two daughters in the Guildford area since 1984 (in Shackleford since 1997) and was elected as the Conservative councillor for the Pilgrims Ward in May 2003

As Lead Member for Finance and Resources on the Executive, I have responsibilities for the Council’s budget, finances, assets and Council Tax levels.

In May 2005, I was elected as County Councillor for the Shalford Division and serve on the County’s Environment and Economy Select Committee.  I also represent the Council on the Warnborough Barns Management Committee and at South East Employers.

A retired lawyer, my other interests include theatre, music, hacking around golf courses and long walks with my Collie cross, Ebony.
