I have been a Conservative councillor for the Shalford ward since 1999. In 2003 the ward boundaries expanded to incorporate Compton and Artington.

I serve on the Council's Executive as Lead Member for Communications and Human Resources, and sit on the Council’s Licensing Committee.  I also represent the Council at South East Employers.

My areas of responsibility include the Council's Communication Strategy and public consultation; Human Resources and staff welfare issues; IT Services and the Council’s website; and delivering safe play facilities and services for children and young people.

I live on Tillingbourne Road in Shalford with my wife Julie and our two cats, and prior to that in Mitchell’s Close. I work in the IT Industry and my interests include reading, cooking and travel.
