Guildford Art Society 79th annual exhibitionSaturday 15 October - Saturday 12 November 2011. Guildford Art Society returns to Guildford House Gallery for 79th annual autumn exhibition.The exhibition features selected work by full members. Almost 200 art works will be on show which will cover a wide range of themes and styles including paintings, sculptures, glass designs, wood prints and miniatures. All exhibits will be for sale. Long standing favourite exhibiting artists include Carol Orwin's lithe animal sculptures, coloured glass images by local craftsman Jenefer Ham, abstract floral pastel paintings by Nola Armstrong, and landscape collage paintings by Liz Clinton. Liz Seward brings subtle colour into the exhibition with her mixed media still life paintings. Artists come to exhibit their work from as far as Woking, Farnham, Dorking and Petersfield and have faced an independent selection committee to be included in the show. Free demonstration - A London SceneOn Thursday 3 November from 11am - 1pm, Rick Holmes from Guildford Art Society will be in the Brew House demonstrating his pastel techniques.
