We have seen many changes in Guildford over my tenure and I am pleased to have been involved in facilitating some of those changes. Also in commissioning the Guildford Economic Study by the University of Surrey and Guildford Borough Council, which has significantly contributed towards the production of the Economic Strategy." Keith Churchouse adds: "I am delighted to have been invited to take the important role as Chairman of the Guildford Business Forum. I want to offer my thanks to Malcolm for all of his hard work and wise guidance of the forum over the years of his service. As we move through and out of recession, and with Guildford's successful involvement in the new Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership, never has it been more important for us all to work together to ensure the borough's success. I think we all agree that the current economic situation requires a different type of approach and I look forward to facilitating the group." Says Leader of the Council, Cllr Tony Rooth: "Our partnership and continued work with the Guildford Business Forum has been vital in helping shape the economic future of our borough. Their involvement and valuable feedback helps to keep the competitive edge Guildford needs to grow the local economy and help our community prosper." |
