We encourage cycling as an alternative to the car for short trips, such as journeys to work and school. In order to encourage all age groups to cycle, a cycle network is being developed by Surrey County Council and Guildford Borough Council linking key areas such as residential, employment and schools.

Cycle Guildford
Cycle Guildford contains a map of both on and off-road cycle routes and where to find special cycle parking within Guildford. It identifies the cycling facilities and provides valuable information on safety and security, cycling skills, equipment and useful contacts for further information.
Surrey Cycle Guide
The eight guides forming the Surrey Cycle Guides are a set of maps showing the location of cycling facilities, recommended cycling routes and rights of way where you are legally allowed to cycle.
Surrey Cycle Guide No. 4 provides a map showing recommended cycling routes and locations of cycling facilities in Ash, Farnham, Godalming, Guildford, Puttenham, Tongham and Worplesdon.

The Downs Link cycle route
The Downs Link cycle route is a long-distance bridle way linking the North and South Downs Ways. The path runs along the bed of an old railway line.
Join the Guildford Cycle Forum
Guildford Cycle Forum is comprised of representatives from Guildford Cycle Group, the borough and county council. Meetings are held every 3 months to discuss cycling issues in the borough and the development of the cycling strategy.
