If you are planning a major event, particularly where the sale of alcohol will take place, you may need a temporary events notice. If you would like to hang bunting from street lighting, you must get permission from Surrey County Council. It is unlawful to string or place bunting over, along or in the highway without first obtaining their consent from the highway authority.
