Equalities - Equality Framework for Local Government

The new Equality Framework for Local Government (EFLG) is a simple performance improvement and benchmarking tool.

There are five performance indicators:

1. Knowing your communities and equality mapping
2. Place shaping, leadership, partnership and organisational commitment
3. Community engagement and satisfaction
4. Responsive service and customer care
5. A modern diverse workforce

Under the framework there are three levels of achievement:

• Developing
• Achieving
• Excellent

We are currently graded as 'Achieving' and are working towards 'Excellent'.
