
The Guildhall is a 16th and 17th century building of great historic interest. It used to be a courtroom and council chamber. The ground floor is of Tudor origin. The building houses civic plate, including many rare items. The Classical front of the building is dominated by a magnificent bracket clock made in 1683.
Open: All year for tours on Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm and 3pm. Groups by arrangement.
