Have your say on future development

Tuesday 20 November, 2007

Residents can have their say on where future development should take place in the borough in a public consultation starting on Wednesday 21 November.

A number of sites have been suggested to the council for future development to meet the needs of the borough. This includes land for housing, employment and other key uses. As part of the larger Guildford Development Framework project, the council would like to know what residents think and whether they know of any other sites that can be considered.

Cllr Jenny Wicks, Lead Councillor for Environment, says: "This 'site allocations' consultation gives residents the opportunity to have their say on where future development should go in the borough. We will consider all comments thoroughly and we will also complete site appraisals before assessing which sites go through to the next stage of the process."

Information on each site, including a map and photo, is available to view online or in hard copy form planning reception at the council's Millmead offices, for more information please visit the Site Allocations pages.

All comments must be received by Wednesday 30 January. Any additional sites that are suggested will be available for comment later.
