The Gallery was created with the assistance of students and staff from the Adult Education Centre. Since it started in September 1979, the gallery has held 15 exhibitions each year, covering a wide variety of visual arts.
Very early on it earned a reputation for innovation, actively encouraging first-time exhibitors, as well as practising artists. The gallery continues to be a showcase for professional artists as well as local students venturing into the world of displaying their talents.
The exhibition space itself is an ideal size room, well lit and easy to circulate in. The Gallery has the advantages of an adjacent coffee bar, direct level access from the Harvey Road, disabled parking outside, and parking nearby at a reduced rate.
Exhibiting
The gallery puts on a range of excellent exhibitions by accomplished artists (mainly local) throughout the year. Fees are modest. If you would like more information, or would like to book an exhibition, please contact the gallery.
