School visits to Guildford

• Free guided walks around town with the Guildford Town Guides on their History of Guildford walk.  Walks can be tailored to specific subjects on request.
• Free entry to Guildford Museum with its displays on Victorian childhood; Romans and Saxons.  Loan boxes are also available.  Objects can be made available to handle.  Worksheets available.
• Free entry to Guildford House Gallery - this 17th century Grade I Listed town house has a constantly changing programme of temporary exhibitions covering a range of subjects and genre - enquire about the exhibitions at time of booking.
• Free entry to The Guildhall.  Guided tour of this Elizabethan courthouse and chance to see the Civic plates.
• Free entry to the Castle Grounds with its stunning floral displays in the summer - the perfect picnic area on a sunny day.
• Entry to the Castle Keep is £1.50 per child.  This medieval keep includes a model of how it originally looked, and displays on its history.  Talks by museum staff available on request.

If you are unfortunate enough to come on a rainy day, we can provide somewhere indoors for the group to eat their picnic lunch and advise on toilet facilities around the town. 

How to Book

Email tic@guildford.gov.uk with details of your requirements, or simply download the booking forms and return them to the Tourist Information Centre.  You will need one form for guided walks, and another if you wish to visit any of the town centre heritage attractions.
