Brooklands – the Birthplace of British Motorsport and Aviation, home of Concorde and London Bus Museum and the site of many world records and achievements in aviation and engineering. Come and discover this historic site which includes part of the original 1907 Race Track along with the Edwardian Clubhouse and collections of vintage cars, motorcycles, bicycles and aircraft all within original buildings. Inside the Clubhouse you will find the Sunbeam Café with its period room settings and displays of memorabilia all evocative of the glamorous era of motor racing and flying that Brooklands is famous for. Also on site is the only publicly accessible Concorde in the South East where you can go on board for a half hour virtual supersonic ‘flight’ experience. For extra excitement, you can also try one of the three dynamic rides in the state-of-the-art 4D Theatre which run every day. These include hurtling around the Brooklands Track at over 100mph, taking a drive in 1956 at Le Mans or being co-pilot with one of the Red Arrows on one of their breath-taking aerobatic displays! During school holidays, you can take a car ride up Test Hill and along the steep Banking of the original Race Track just as those famous racing drivers did all those years ago. Due to open in summer 2017 is the NEW Brooklands Aircraft Factory and Flight Shed which tells the story of aviation at Brooklands spanning 80 years.
