School loan boxes

From Stone Age axes and Roman coins to Victorian toys, WW2 gas masks and more.

We have a selection of loan boxes containing handling objects and supporting information available to schools and other groups.

  • All loan boxes must be collected from, and returned to, the museum promptly on the agreed dates.
  • All the boxes contain handling objects. Some also have other items in addition sealed behind Perspex, which cannot be handled.
  • Each loan box costs £10 for a three-week loan period.
