Variation of a premises licence

The application must be made by the premises licence holder as specified on the current premises licence.

Apply online

You can apply for a variation to your premises licence online.

Apply by post

Your application must consist of:

A copy of the application form and plan must be sent to each of the responsible authorities.

You also need to place two advertisements of the application during the representation period.

The  icon window advertisement [145KB]  must be displayed on the outside of the property on light blue A4 (or larger) paper. The advertisement must be displayed for 28 consecutive days starting the day after the application is submitted to the licensing unit.

The  icon newspaper advertisement [141KB]  needs to appear at least once in a local newspaper within ten working days of the application being submitted. The applicant is responsible for sending a copy of the advertisement to the Licensing Team. Failure to do this could result in the application being rejected as improperly made.

Will tacit consent apply?

Yes. This means that you will be able to act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from the local authority by the end of the target completion period, provided the application was correctly made.
