Free falls prevention event for residents

A Falls Prevention Bus will be parked in Guildford town centre on Tuesday 5 September from around 9.30am to 3.30pm to offer falls prevention advice to residents and carers.

You can find the bus at the Rotunda, opposite the Friary shopping centre, Guildford GU1 4YT.

Information available on the bus includes:

  • Strength and balance advice from a physiotherapist

  • Hydration and nutrition advice from a dietician  

  • Safety advice for your home environment 

  • Medication advice from a community matron

  • Foot care advice from Age UK

  • Advice on the latest alarms and sensors available from Guildford Borough Council 

  • Guidance to local services and activities

  • A walking aid MOT

The Falls Prevention Bus will also have details about our Let's Get Steady sessions, held monthly across the borough.

These free sessions are aimed at people living in Guildford who have had a fall, are at risk of a fall due to a long-term condition or are fearful of falling.
