Festive Fun at The Village this Christmas
Fun starts at The Village on Thursday 16 November as we join with the rest of Guildford to celebrate the switching on of the town's Christmas lights.
The Village, located next to the Friary, will be bustling with many free events and activities as we celebrate this magical time of the year with a Christmas market, seasonal shops and scrumptious street food. Live entertainment will be provided on the Andertons stage under our covered, heated patio area. You can also bring your family and friends to enjoy some outdoor skating on the Christmas ice rink! The first two hundred skaters will each receive a free goody bag.
Cllr David Bilbé, Lead Councillor for Economic Development and Tourism said:
"After a very successful summer of events and activities at The Village I'm delighted that we are offering an exciting blend of twenty independent shops and food outlets, ice skating and special Christmas events throughout November and December.
The Village is proving to be popular with residents and visitors, as well as creating new business opportunities and a unique place in the centre of town. I encourage you to join in the Christmas fun as you shop and enjoy all that The Village and Guildford has to offer."
The Village real ice rink, presented by the Blue Martini Group and supported by TG2 Surrey, will open for its first public skate on Thursday 16 November from 12noon with sessions through until Christmas Eve. You can guarantee your skating session by booking in advance. You can also buy tickets in person (subject to demand) on the day from our on-site box office.
For more information about all events and activities and to book ice skating sessions please go to The Village Christmas.
