What do you think is important for our borough's future?
Give us your views in our Corporate Plan consultation.
We are revising and updating our Corporate Plan and would like to find out what you think is important for the future of our borough, in a wide-ranging public consultation starting today (1 March).
Leader of the Council, Cllr Paul Spooner, explains: "Our Corporate Plan provides a robust framework to address the challenges that lie ahead, our priorities and other plans, including the services that our community depends on. We are developing and updating our plan and want to hear from as many residents and businesses as possible about the local issues that are most important to them. We will use their valuable feedback to help inform our future work.
"Every person matters and our aim is to balance the needs of town, villages and countryside to improve people's lives and prospects, wherever they are in our borough. Transforming the way we work and identifying further savings are also vital aspects of delivering our Corporate Plan".
As part of the consultation, which lasts four weeks, we ask about a range of topics including the importance of providing homes, travel in and around the borough, regeneration of urban areas, and provision of sporting, cultural and recreational facilities.
We also want to find out what local people think is most important for their community, including priorities such as supporting less advantaged people, the local economy and job opportunities, the environment, caring for older residents and facilities for young people.
The consultation is managed by independent specialists on our behalf and runs from Thursday 1 March to Thursday 29 March.
