LABC South East Building Excellence Awards 2017
These awards are held every year and we put forward schemes that demonstrate excellent working relationships with our clients and quality work.
Our building control team attended the South East LABC Building Excellence Awards 2017 held at The Grand, Brighton.
Jacqui Barr, Guildford's Building Control Manager and LABC Chair of the South East Region, provided the opening speech and welcomed around 400 guests to the ceremony, including architects, contractors, designers and representatives from local authority building control who gathered to celebrate the best construction projects in the south east.

Nominated by our building control team, The School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Surrey received a highly commended award in the Best Education Building category.
The Project Team included BAM Construction, PM Devereux: Architecture & Design, University of Surrey, Capita Property and Infrastructure, WYG Engineering Ltd.
Overall there were 15 winning and six highly commended projects and individuals and over 100 nominations.

The LABC awards highlight the excellent building practices being carried out by construction professionals, with a focus on those who have overcome technical and practical problems to produce great buildings and good compliance with the building regulations.
Categories include those aimed at individuals as well as for site-based projects.
