Recycling sites - including Slyfield - Recycling sites are now open - please follow the restrictions that are in place. You can find out about opening times, which may vary, and any restrictions you need to follow on Surrey County Council's website.
Council housing repairs
Council housing - services for tenants - Following recent government advice and the relaxing of restrictions we are now able to come out for all maintenance repairs and we can book appointments. Please Note: we have a backlog of repairs due to the previous Coronavirus restrictions and you may have to wait longer than usual for any non-urgent works to be completed.
The Handy person scheme is operating a limited service for urgent and essential works. Hospital discharges will take priority.
The building control team can still be contacted on 01483 444545 or by email email@example.com. We are carrying out site visits, processing and plan checking building regulations applications, overseeing dangerous structures, processing demolitions notices and competent person scheme records, providing fee quotations and answering general enquiries.

Car parks and parking
Park and Ride - Onslow Park and Ride is closed, Artington Park and Ride is open.
Car parks - On-street parking charges and enforcement re-started on 15 June. Car park charges and enforcement re-started on 1 July. Farnham Road car park will remain free until 31 July to support keyworkers.
Request a parking bay suspension - Parking bay suspension applications have re-started.
Guildford resident and visitor parking - On-street parking charges and enforcement re-started on 15 June. Permits can only be obtained online or through telephoning Customer Services. Millmead House is closed to all visitors.
Waverley residents' parking permit scheme - Cranleigh, Farnham, Godalming and Haslemere - On-street parking enforcement re-started on 15 June. We are beginning to process new permits and renewals. If your permit has expired, or is due to expire, we will be in touch to explain the next steps.

House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Licence
If you have an existing HMO licence that requires work to be completed to the property during the Coronavirus outbreak, please contact 01483 505050 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to be referred to the Housing Standards Team to discuss your situation. There may be delays with listed building consent applications during the Coronavirus outbreak. These require detailed site inspections which we are unable to conduct at present.
Local land charges
Local Land Charges - We are unable to accept Official certified searches through the post or DX, please email your completed search request forms to firstname.lastname@example.org and pay via our online payment system.
Personal Search procedures have been amended while you are unable to visit our offices, if you wish to carry out a personal search on a property please email the address of the property and a plan to email@example.com. The Local Land Charges register for the property will then be emailed to you. Please allow three working days for us to respond.
Planning enforcement remains a critical function of the council during the Coronavirus period. Please consider whether potential breaches are serious. Before reporting a breach, please check the Planning Portal's Common projects webpage which details common householder projects that do not need permission from the Council. The webpage also contains guidance on a number of other issues such as advertisements and non-domestic projects
The Government has advised that councils should not enforce breaches of delivery hours where related to movement of key goods - for instance food deliveries. It has also introduced temporary permitted development right for the change of use of pubs/restaurants to provide takeaway services.

Bookings have been cancelled for anyone taking their Knowledge test to become a hackney carriage driver or private hire driver. We are not taking any further bookings at this time.

Sports pitch bookings are cancelled. Tennis court bookings are available but all other pitches and courts remain closed at this time.
Stoke Park - the paddling pool, Visitor Point and Mini Golf are closed. The Stoke Park trim trail reopened on Saturday 4 July.
Guildford in Bloom - as we can't visit to see your wonderful gardens this year, our 2020 Guildford in Bloom competition and schools competition will take place online. The competition will be run using social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram - visit the Guildford in Bloom page to find out more.
