How do you feel about returning to Guildford town centre as our shops reopen?

Please let us know how you feel about visiting Guildford town centre again as restrictions change, by completing our short survey.

The survey is open until Sunday 23 May.

Complete the survey

James Whiteman, Managing Director says:

"We are working in partnership with our Business Improvement District, Experience Guildford to understand if you have any safety concerns when returning to our town centre. Your answers to our survey will be an essential part of this. We understand how difficult the past 12 months have been and how it may take time to adjust as we move through each step of the government's roadmap to recovery.

"We are looking forward to local businesses reopening again and have been supporting them throughout the pandemic by providing over £35 million in grants. It will be great to see our town centre start to return to its vibrant best again. It is important that we continue to be considerate to one another and follow government guidance. Please continue to socially distance, wear a face covering when necessary and to wash your hands regularly."

Amanda Masters, Chief Executive of Experience Guildford says:

"We know that not everyone will feel confident about returning to the town centre right away and that's OK, it's perfectly normal to feel a bit anxious.

"We hope that by giving local residents the opportunity to tell us what concerns they have we can work with businesses and town centre partners to address these points and highlight the COVID safety measures that are in place to create a reassuring environment.

"Businesses are really looking forward to welcoming customers back after a tough third lockdown period. We expect to see a significant increase in footfall in the town centre from Monday 12 April and so we ask that visitors to the town continue to be cautious, calm and kind and support local businesses by socialising safely."

Those who take part will have a chance to enter a prize draw to win a £100 voucher to spend on any business that is part of the Mi Rewards scheme. The prize draw will take place on Monday 24 May.
