Our Farmers' Market is back on the first Tuesday of every month
Much loved by residents and visitors alike, our Farmers' Market is held monthly on our historic High Street. From fresh fruit and veg, poultry and meats, to handmade crafts, everything is locally sourced and produced by up to 50 producers at each market.
Following restrictions being eased our market is back every first Tuesday of the month, (except in January), between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
As a National Farmers' Retail and Markets Association (FARMA) accredited market, we have strict rules on which products are sold. Our producers must produce the goods themselves, using locally sourced ingredients and they must be based within a 50-mile radius of Guildford.
Lead Councillor for Economy, Cllr John Redpath says:
"We are delighted to see our popular Farmers' Market returning to our High Street each month. We know how much it was missed. Now more than ever, it is important that we all support local businesses and producers coming out of lockdown. Seeing the market back on the High Street is part of our borough getting back to normal. It's always a pleasure to visit and talk with producers about the food and items you're buying.'
He adds: "As with each of our markets, such as North Street fruit and vegetable market there will be safety measures in place. Please ensure you continue to keep social distancing, wear face coverings and wash hands regularly."
