Innovate Guildford Science & Arts Festival

Innovate Guildford 2016 was a free, one day festival celebrating the rich diversity of science, art and innovation happening in the local area. Attracting over 5,000 visitors, the festival showcased current and future technologies from a variety of sectors, including healthcare, space, civil engineering, and digital media.The important overlap between science and art was explored through talks, interactive workshops and performances, inviting the public to consider how traditional career paths are evolving.

Feedback showed the festival to be a resounding success, both with the public and with exhibitors.The reach of the festival on social media was similarly impressive:

  • The Innovate Guildford web page received 7,618 page views over the event period
  • On Twitter, @InnovateG4 had: 244,031 unique visitors, 880,000 impressions and 30,000 interactions. 71% of @InnovateG4 tweets were retweeted with the highest performing tweet reaching over 3,000 people

Innovate Guildford 2017

Following the success of the inaugural festival, Innovate Guildford will take place again on 4 March 2017, at GLive in Guildford. The 2017 festival is shaping up to be even more exciting, including many exhibitors from last year along with some fantastic additions:

Innovation Awards - celebrating innovation in and around Guildford. 

Secondary Schools Competition - open to all secondary schools in Guildford Borough.

The message of IG16 was far reaching - over 7,000 visitors to the web page in the run up to the festival and on the day of the festival over 5,000 visitors and 880,000 Twitter impressions.
