Christmas tree recycling

If you subscribe to our garden waste service, you can chop up your tree and put into your garden waste bin.

If you do not have a garden waste subscription you can take your real Christmas tree to be recycled.

Shooting Star Children's Hospices - Christmas Tree Collection Service

Let Shooting Star Children's Hospices take the hassle out of recycling your Christmas tree. No needles in your car or trips to the tip, simply follow the link and register your tree with them. They welcome a minimum suggested donation, and your support helps them continue their vital work.

Tree collections will take place on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 January 2026, and will be disposed of sustainably with the help of their partners Merrist Wood College and The Tree Agency.

Bookings open on 15 November and close on Wednesday 7 January 2026.
