Just two miles from Farnham, Birdworld nestles on the edge of the ancient Alice Holt Forest and is home to over 1000 birds from 180 different species. Set in 26 acres of beautiful landscaped grounds, the birds range from parrots, penguins and flamingos to owls, pelicans and ducks.
Popular exhibits include The Terry Pratchett Owl Parliament, Penguin Beach and the Silent Forest Songbird Aviaries. Alongside wonderful aviaries, the park also offers exciting opportunities to get up close and personal with some of the feathered residents with experiences such as Owl Encounters, Penguin Feeding, Keeper for a Day and Junior Farm Keeper. They are perfect as a gift or for an animal enthusiast!
In addition to birds, Birdworld is also home to the Jenny Wren Farm where visitors can enjoy meeting all manner of animals such as pigs, sheep, rabbits, mice and even reindeer! During Spring 2019 there has also been the construction of a brand-new play area aimed at children from 3 – 6 years. Visitors can also enjoy a trip to Underwater World with its tropical fish, piranhas and dwarf crocodiles.
With a well-stocked gift shop, restaurants and refreshment kiosks, all of your needs are well catered for and for garden-lovers there is easy access to the Forest Lodge Garden Centre via linking pathway(season dependant).
Although it is a large site, all paths are flat with plenty of seating and it is therefore ideal for all ages to enjoy. Daily events include Penguin Feeding, Outdoor Flying Displays (Easter to October), Animal Encounters at the farm and even a trip on the Safari Road Train. Regular visitors can take advantage of the park’s very popular Annual Pass Scheme to enjoy some great benefits and opportunities.
