River Wey and Millmead Island

The River Wey flows through the centre of Guildford. It was the river and the Wey Navigations that contributed to both the wealth and industry of the town.  Some evidence of Guildford’s industrial past are still evident along more than 20 miles of towpaths to explore, the waterway is peaceful and unspoilt. Walkers are rewarded with a constantly changing seasonal display.
