About

On this walk, we tour the town centre revealing stories of actors, artists and authors closely associated with Guildford. Lewis Carroll rented a house in Castle Hill for his sisters and was a frequent visitor, sometimes preaching at St Mary's Church. William (J M W) Turner - celebrated and mobbed in his lifetime - made extensive studies of the town centre area and River Wey... and, as memories fade, just who was Yvonne Arnaud?

The walk will meet at Tunsgate and finish at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.
