There are no changes to bin collections over the Easter bank holiday.

If you're a domestic waste customer, you can use our find your bin page to check your next bin collection date.
If you're a commercial waste customer, you'll need to log in to your MyGuildford account (opens new window) to check your next bin collection date.

Assistance for disabled voters

We would like to make sure that all our residents are able to cast their vote. There are provisions in place at polling stations to help if you need assistance.

As far as is possible, all polling stations:

  • are wheelchair accessible (special ramps are provided if needed)
  • have booths adapted for wheelchair users
  • offer large print versions of ballot papers.

Special aids are provided to help visually-impaired voters mark their ballot papers without assistance. This help includes a tactile voting device for electors who read Braille.

If a disability prevents you from being able to complete a ballot paper on your own, the Presiding Officer is there to assist you, or you can take a friend or relative to the polling station to help you.

If you do not want to go to the polling station to vote, please remember all voters are entitled to vote by post or by proxy for each election. Voters with long-term disabilities are also allowed to apply for a long-term proxy to vote on their behalf.

We are committed to providing voting facilities for all electors. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve our service, please email electoralservices@guildford.gov.uk.
