Water supply issues in the GU1, GU2, GU4 and GU5 areas

Thames Water has reported residents in postcode areas GU1, GU2, GU4 and GU5 could be experiencing water supply issues. This is due to a power outage across the area. All sites are now back online but customers may still temporarily experience no water or low pressure.

Coffee Time Talks

Coffee time talks

Join us, on the first Thursday of most months for an informative but relaxed talk on topics of local interest. This is a chance to meet with other people for coffee and chat followed by the talk. All talks are free but voluntary donations are welcome.

Times: Doors open at 10.30am. Talks start at 11am and last for 50 minutes

The Special Operations Executive (SOE) and Guildford connections

Date: Thursday 1 February

Carol Brown, information officer for the Secret World War II Network, will talk about SOE and the training schools at Wanborough Manor and Winterfold plus plenty of other local connections.

Normandy: A Village History

Date: Thursday 7 March

Alan Norris will describe how Normandy has transformed over the past century from dispersed and mostly self-sufficient agricultural communities to a residential dormitory village. He will also mention some newsworthy events in the village.

My Natural World

Date: Thursday 11 April

Ann Healey, former President of the Surrey Photographic Association, will show off her stunning photography. It will showcase her images of fauna from Costa Rica. It will include images with which she was awarded her Associateship and Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society. She will then treat us to some of her favourite images taken closer to home.
