Housing asset management
Our commitment to you
We are committed to improving the quality of our housing stock. We want every resident to live in a home that is safe, warm, energy efficient, and part of a neighbourhood to be proud of.
We believe that residents should have a voice in decisions that affect their homes. That's why we're working together to make sure your views shape the future of housing in Guildford.
Building our asset management strategy
We've promised to prioritise investment in our housing stock to:
- improve the quality of life for residents
- protect our homes for future generations
We're currently developing our Asset Management Strategy, which will be published in January 2026. This strategy will guide how we invest in and maintain our homes over the coming years.
To shape this strategy, we're gathering vital information through:
- stock condition surveys - to understand the current state of our homes
- tenant feedback - to hear directly from you about what matters most
Stock condition surveys - what's happening?
We've launched a 3-year programme to survey the condition of our homes. This helps us plan future repairs and improvements.
Year 1 starts now - between October 2025 and February 2026, we'll visit around 1,700 homes.
If your home is included, you'll receive:
- a letter from us explaining the survey and introducing the appointed surveying company, MLCS3 Ltd (opens new window).
- a second letter from the surveyor confirming your appointment date.
Important to know:
- all surveyors carry photo ID
- you'll be contacted in advance - we'll never turn up unannounced
- no personal information will be requested
These surveys help us keep your home safe, warm, and in good repair - thank you for your cooperation!
Stay safe from bogus callers: If you're ever unsure, contact us directly before letting anyone in.
