Election results

Local government in Surrey is changing, from 1 April 2027, Guildford Borough Council and Surrey County Council will be replaced by a new unitary authority called West Surrey Council.

Planning Contributions Supplementary Planning Document

The planning contributions have been updated for:

  • open space
  • Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area (SPA)

This SPD is designed to help lessen the pressure of development on an area's infrastructure. We can ask developers to help improve local infrastructure if this prevents negative effects of their work. The SPD lets developers know

  • how we'll ask them
