Health and wellbeing strategy
We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all residents.
Our Health and Wellbeing Strategy (PDF) [1MB] identifies the following priorities for the local area:
- preventing alcohol misuse
- improving health and wellbeing at work (see Workplace Wellbeing Charter below)
- increasing physical activity
- helping people to stop smoking
- reducing health inequalities in the borough.
If you are interested in improving your own health and wellbeing, you can focus on:
- keeping yourself active
- improving your diet by eating well
- moderating alcohol intake
- seeking help to quit smoking
The Health and Wellbeing Strategy has been produced by Guildford Health and Wellbeing Board, which consists of members from Guildford Borough Council, Surrey County Council, Guildford and Waverley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Surrey Heath CCG and the voluntary sector.
