Find out about Developer Contributions and Community Infrastructure Levy

At the moment, we use section 106 agreements to secure developer contributions for new infrastructure.

The Council has not introduced a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).

The Government intend to introduce a new Infrastructure Levy following publication of the Levelling Up and Regeneration Act (2023). We will be monitoring further developments and any implications for the Council. We have not yet set a timetable for introducing an Infrastructure Levy.
